The following is from George Best, tail gunner on the Chippiedall:

The bottom photo was taken in California before the crew went overseas, about December 16, 1943.  This was the original crew for the aircraft.

After the crew arrived overseas, Tommie Priest only flew one mission with the aircraft.  Tommie was grounded by the doctors after he got airsick. He was replaced by Louis Yuhasz.

The top photo was taken at Torretta Field after the Chippiedall was credited with shooting down 2 aircraft, a FW-190 by tail gunner G. S. Best and a ME-109 by top gunner Paul Sharp.
